About the Event
Adam Daniels: Head of Economics, Guildford County School, presents this theory session looking at the modern foundations of a branch of applied mathematics that studies strategic decision-making of interdependent players under conditions of uncertainty. We will explain key concepts to help understand what sort of game you are playing and work through the classic ‘Prisoners' Dilemma’. This will take in examples such as the game show ‘Goldenballs’, ‘Rock-Paper-Scissors’ and 'Drug Cartel Game'.
This will be followed by a workshop in which we will play increasingly complex games to develop optimal strategies.
