The annual Scholarship Conference at the RGS is organised by the students, it celebrates free-thinking by challenging the audience to consider conflicting views and varying perspectives on a theme of ‘Breaking Boundaries’ by scholars from diverse fields. This free event is open to Yr 10-13.

About the Event

The Royal Grammar School are delighted to invite you to the annual Scholarship Conference. Organised by the students themselves, the RGS Scholarship Conference celebrates free-thinking by challenging the audience to consider conflicting views and varying perspectives on a theme of ‘Breaking Boundaries’ by scholars from diverse fields. The presentations will be followed by a panel Q and A. Refreshments will be provided. Our presenters include:

Dr Anjan Dutta, Senior Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Surrey, Dr Ana Andries, Lecturer and Research Fellow at the Centre for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Surrey, Dr Elodie Hudson, former RGS Biology Teacher and now Lead Data Scientist at AssessTech Analytics, Seb Chaumeton, Old Guildfordian, a successful up-and-coming multi-media artist, James Miller, Old Guilfordian, an environmental activist and filmmaker/podcaster/speaker.
