About the Event
The RGS English Department would like to invite students and teachers from our partnership schools, to a lecture and discussion session with Dr Marilyn Corrie.
Dr Corrie is a Lecturer in Medieval Literature at University College London and will be speaking on Geoffrey Chaucer’s 'The Wife of Bath’s Prologue and Tale', the treatment of women in 14th century England and the role played by ecclesiastical authorities in fomenting misogynistic attitudes.
'The Wife of Bath’s Prologue and Tale' is a key set text within the A Level in English Literature offered at RGS Guildford and this event will, therefore, be of particular interest to students in the current Lower Sixth studying the course and GCSE students contemplating pursuing the subject in the future.
