Tormead School are hosting a Guildford Classics Association (GCA) Lecture aimed at students in any year group but particularly those interested in classical civilisation. There is no limit on numbers or age and the lecture is free of charge.

About the Event

Tormead School are delighted to host the Guildford Classic Association May Lecture which will be given by Prof. Llewelyn Morgan of Brasenose College Oxford on the topic of 'The Aeneid Before the Aeneid'. The Aeneid is a Latin epic poem, written by Virgil between 29 and 19 BC that tells the legendary story of Aeneas, a Trojan who fled the fall of Troy and travelled to Italy, where he became the ancestor of the Romans. 

Refreshments will be served from 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Visitors should attend the main reception on Cranley Road, Guildford, GU1 2JD.
